Al-Aqsa Mosque (Arabic: المسجد الاقصى, Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, literally "the farthest mosque") is one of the buildings that are part of the complex of sacred buildings in Palestine (East Jerusalem) is known as Al-Haram ash -Sharif to Muslims and the name of Har Ha-Bayit (the Mount Baitallah / Temple Mount) to Jews and Christians.
