A NUN had her car stolen in a robbery in Levenshulme, Manchester.At about 4.30pm on Wednesday 2 December 2009, the victim - who is a member of Daughters of Charity - was in her Ford Ka, on Rushford Avenue, when she was approached by two men.
The pair were aggressive and demanded she get out of the car. They then escaped in the car, leaving the victim, aged 62, stranded and distraught.
The offenders are described as being Asian or of mixed race and in their late teens or early 20s.
The car was involved in a collision on Dickinson Road at its junction with Whiley Street shortly before 5.15pm the following day, Thursday 3 December 2009.
Three men, described as Asian and about 17-years-old, were seen to run from the car.
Detective Inspector Graham Atherton, from Longsight CID, said: "The victim is a very selfless individual who spends the majority of her time helping others in the community. "She was in fact going about her honourable duties when this incident happened. "As a result she has been left extremely upset and unable to continue her work in the community, meaning local residents will also suffer as a result of this needless and awful incident.
"I am determined to bring those responsible to justice and would ask anyone with information comes forward to police."

First I want to note the irritating, obfuscating and bordering on pathological use of the term "Asian" - by British newspapers in lieu of the more accurate muslim.Honest journalism has succumbed to dhimmitude and political correctness. I wondered - Do muslims refer to themselves as "Asian"? In reviewing the above searches you will find that the vast majority - if not 100% - use the word 'Asian' in regards to China, Japan, Malaysia, etc.
The same countries and people that we all think of when reading the word 'Asian'. So clearly muslims do not refer to themselves as 'Asian'.
Isn't it time that British newspapers stop treating their readers like a bunch of dopes?
