Muslim Gang Slashes Lone Victim...

A FATHER-of-two needed 62 stitches to repair gaping wounds to his face after being slashed with a stanley knife during a racist attack.

The 28-year-old, who does not want to be indentified, lost about two pints of blood after being assaulted by a gang of four Asian men opposite Fullwell Cross Leisure Centre in Barkingside High Street.

The man, who lives in Barkingside, said his confidence has been left shattered by the ordeal - which took place at around 1.30am on Sunday May 16.

He said: "I left the Fairlop Oak pub and went to a 24-hour shop nearby to get some cigarettes and a couple of lagers.

"On the way out I saw a friend of mine at the bus stop and went to chat with him. At the same time a car pulled up and a group of Asian lads got out and walked past me. They were looking at me funny.

"My friend eventually left and I was leaning against a wall looking at my mobile phone when one of (the gang) hit me over the head with a bottle."

As the man turned around another gang member - described as having a skin head haircut and long beard - racially abused him before slashing him twice in the face, causing a two-inch cut to his cheek and a five-inch gash under his right eye.

The thugs, who were all aged between 25 and 30, ran off following the attack.

The injured man, who has been unable to return to his job as a digger driver on the Olympic site or go out alone at night since the attack, said: "I staggered into the 24-hour shop to ask for help.

I was bleeding really badly.

"If I hadn't been on the way down the guy could have slashed my neck.

"The ambulance took half-an-hour to get there. Luckily an old mate of mine from school arrived at the shop not long after to get something and saw me there bleeding. He helped stem the blood with a load of dusters from the shop.

"I passed out because of the blood loss but the ambulance crew gave me a shot of something which woke me up again."

He was taken to King George Hospital in Goodmayes before being transferred to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel to have micro-stitches inserted in his lip.

He said: "This has really destroyed my confidence.

"I was already feeling low after splitting up from my wife in January, but this has made it even harder for me to meet someone new.

"I'm just lucky to have such good friends around me.

"I don't understand why this happened. I didn't say anything to these people and they just brutally attack me."

The knife-wielding thug is thought to have been wearing a tracksuit at the time of the assault while the other three men wore dark clothing.

The car the gang arrived in was driven off before the attack. It is described as small and blue - possibly a Ford Fiesta.

Parking to scupper plans to turn Blackburn pub into mosque

PLANS to convert a former pub into a mosque are set to be thwarted because of parking concerns.

Blackburn with Darwen’s planning committee will consider the bid to change the use of the former Beech Tree Inn, Whalley Old Road.

Ali Muzaffer wants to use the building to enlarge the neighbouring Madressa Taleem Ul Islam.
The plans have been supported by a number of Liberal Democrat councillors and a petition.

But three letters of objection have been received, and officers have advised the committee to reject the scheme because it does not provide for enough off-street parking.

But a letter from the mosque trust said the development would mean people did not have to drive to mosques further afield, causing traffic problems.

Ward councillor Iftakhar Hussain said: “A lot of people walk there, so it might not make much difference. Parking is a problem everywhere, so if they could add some parking it would be ideal.”

English Defence League website apparently taken down for telling the truth about Islam

The Qur'an is full of contempt and hatred for the unbeliever, the "most vile of created beings" (98:6). But when the EDL pointed this out on its website, British authorities pulled the plug. Apparently the truth is now illegal in the United Kingdom as well as in the Netherlands, where Geert Wilders is on trial for it. Here is the story from Trevor Kelway of the EDL, writing at Atlas Shrugs:

Today the English Defence League Website has been suspended, apparently because of an article that describes, using suras from the Koran, how Islam looks on the Kuffar (non-Muslims).

This latest act of censorship is reminiscent of the way Geert Wilders' short film, Fitna, has been demonised for revealing truth.

Wilders juxtaposed Quranic quotes with acts of terror, the article in question did not even go that far.

It seems that the thought police are about their work again, suppressing debate, denying reality, and bolstering established interests.

Apparently the reason provided for this blatant act of censorship was that the article 'contravenes UK racism laws'.

If this is the case then it means one of two things, that the Quran itself contravenes UK racism laws or Islam has an exemption from UK racism laws, and is treated as a special case.

Since the Quran is still available for sale on the shelves of UK bookshops it must mean that the latter is true.

That being so effectively means that the UK is already under a form of Sharia law which demands that Islam is above criticism and completely outside the realm of rational debate.

When the Racial and Religious Hatred Act was put before Parliament the British people were assured that freedom of expression would not be a casualty.

It would appear that the British people were seriously misled and that the Racial and Religious Hatred Act was nothing other than a Sharia enabling act designed specifically to usher in a period of Islamic rule.

Promoting hatred is wrong and if our legislation exempts religiously inspired hatred then the laws currently on the statute book is not fit for purpose.

All the law seems to do these days is empower those who want to undermine freedom and equality before the law, and discriminate against those who want to protect the British way of life.

This is wrong and is an affront to our democratic system of government because it acts as the handmaiden of tyranny.

Far from promoting multiculturalism, such legislation is effectively promoting the monoculture of Islam.

Our legal system has effectively been subverted and is now simply a crude instrument of Islamic da'wa....

Read it all.

Al-Qaeda operatives want to kill us, but we must protect them

What could go wrong? Absurd Britannia Alert: "Judge rules terror pair ARE a threat to national security... but they CAN'T be deported because of human rights," from the Daily Mail, May 18

Two Pakistani men branded a threat to national security by a judge, today won the right to stay in the country.

Al-Qaeda operative Abid Naseer, 24, and Ahmad Faraz Khan, 26, should not be deported back to their homeland because of the risk to their safety, the same immigration judge ruled.

The pair were arrested last year in counter-terrorism raids but never charged. This morning they were told they had won their appeal against deportation at a hearing of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC).

Mr Justice Mitting, in a written ruling of the tribunal, said: 'For the reasons stated, we are satisfied that Naseer was an al Qaeda operative who posed and still poses a serious threat to the national security of the UK and that... it is conducive to the public good that he should be deported.'

But he added that the tribunal was allowing the appeal because 'the issue of safety on return' made it impossible to deport Naseer to Pakistan....

The Message (30th Anniversary Edition) (1976)

The Message (30th Anniversary Edition) (1976)Producer-director Moustapha Akkad made a true labor of love out of The Message, which seeks nothing less than to tell the story of the origins of Islam. Originally released in the U.S. as Mohammad, Messenger of God, the film has the appeal of most biblical epics: persecuted true believers, a revolutionary prophet scorned by the powers-that-be, and the miraculous triumph of faith. It also has the cheesiness of many biblical epics, with nose-flaring performances and awkward dialogue, but the whole mish-mash is generally entertaining (and informative for those unversed in the "origin stories" of Islam). Akkad had one major hurdle; he couldn't portray the person or voice of Mohammad himself, as such things are traditionally forbidden in Islam. To say the least, this presents an interesting narrative challenge. Akkad tackles it by having characters address the camera-as-Mohammad, or having disciples step out of Mohammad's tent to repeat what the prophet has just said. It's a weird device, but the surprising thing is how often you forget about it. Akkad is aided by some topnotch technicians, including cameraman Jack Hildyard (The Bridge on the River Kwai) and composer Maurice Jarre (whose score was Oscar-nominated); Anthony Quinn, Irene Papas, and Michael Ansara lead the cast.

Also included in the two-disc set is the Arabic-language version of the film, which was shot at the same time with different actors. (It comes without English subtitles.) It runs about 20 minutes longer than the English version; Akkad explains, in a helpful 44-minute making-of documentary, that Arab styles of storytelling (including pacing) and acting are quite different than in the West. Akkad would also make Lion of the Desert and executive-produce the Halloween pictures. He died in the November 2005 terrorist bombings in Jordan. --Robert Horton

What the West Needs to Know?

Islamic and west life
An examination of Islam, violence, and the fate of the non-Muslim world.

Virtually every major Western leader has over the past several years expressed the view that Islam is a peaceful religion and that those who commit violence in its name are fanatics who misinterpret its tenets. This claim, while widely circulated, rarely attracts serious public examination. Now, the question is finally being asked, "Is Islam itself violent?"

Through an examination of the Koran, other Islamic texts, and the example of the prophet Muhammad, this documentary establishes, through a sober and methodical presentation, that violence against non-Muslims is and has always been an integral aspect of Islam. "Jihad," while best translated as "struggle," as represented in the Koran and the life of Muhammad, means nothing less than organized warfare against unbelievers. Relying primarily on Islam's own sources, this documentary demonstrates that Islam is a violent, expansionary ideology that seeks the destruction or subjugation of other faiths, cultures, and systems of government.

The documentary consists of original interviews, citations from Islamic texts, Islamic artwork, computer-animated maps, footage of Western leaders, and Islamic television broadcasts. Its tone is sober, methodical, and compelling.

Features interviews with noted experts on Islam including Robert Spencer, Serge Trifkovic, Bat Ye'or, Abdullah Al-Araby, and former terrorist Walid Shoebat.

"'Al-Qaeda in Britain' leader who threatened Gordon Brown and Tony Blair pleads guilty,"

Ishaq Kanmi, 23, from Blackburn, Lancashire, posted messages on a well-known extremist website announcing the formation of the British branch of al-Qaeda and stating that it aimed to launch attacks on "places of benefit to the crusaders" and to target political leaders.

He called on "all Muslims in Britain to join us and prepare themselves for martyrdom operations and not lose this golden chance."

In his postings, Kanmi demanded the withdrawal troops from Afghanistan and Iraq and the release from prison of the radical preachers Abu Hamza and Abu Qatada.

The statements appeared in January 2008 on an Arabic language web-site , which often carries messages from senior members of al-Qaeda.

Calling himself Shaykh Umar Rabie al-Khalaila, he said the aims of the group were:

"1- huge attacks on centres and places of benefit to the crusaders.

"2- the elimination of political leaders and capitalists Blair and Brown.

"3- The implementation of god's ruling [on] those who oppose al-Mujahideen [holy fighters], the honest ones, and implement god's ruling on all those who helped the crusaders against Muslims."

He called for Muslims in Europe to "make us victorious...with men and money" and the message was signed "Leadership of al-Qaeda in Britain".

Kanmi also posted links on an American internet chatroom which directed users to sites which included a recipe for the poison ricin and a film on how to make a suicide bomber's vest.

Computer analysis traced many of his postings to Blackburn Library where police and MI5 set up a covert surveillance operation in March 2008.Kanmi was arrested at Manchester Airport as he waited to board a flight to Helsinki, Finland in August 2008 where he was to work as an Islamic teacher.

He had three electronic storage devices in his suitcase and a mobile phone which contained a film from the media wing of al-Qaeda about the July 7 bombings in London and photographs of the former leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi....

Terror suspect allowed to stay in Britain 'because deporting him would be unfair on his children'

An Algerian terror suspect who fought deportation for five years has now been allowed to remain in Britain because his children have become settled.

Immigration judges have ruled that attempts to remove the man, who can not be named, have taken so long that it would now be unfair on his four children to deport him.

The 39-year-old man, known as 'T', has links with al-Qaeda suspect Abu Doha and attended the same training camp as the British shoe bombers Richard Reid and Saajid Badat.

Legal ruling: Attempts by the Home Office to deport a terror suspect have taken so long that his children have become settled and should not be forced to leave the country, judges have declared

According to the Telegraph, the Home Office has tried to deport the Algerian since 2005 when it ruled him a threat to national security.

But the man has fought lengthy appeals against attempts to remove him and his wife and their four British-born children, aged eight, six, three and one.

Despite accepting that the Government was justified in wanting to deport T, the Special Immigration Appeals Commission has ruled that doing so would be unfair on his children.

The SIAC also warned that further legal battles against his deportation could drag out for another two years, by which time his children 'will each have become even more settled in England.'

It admitted the man's appeal against his deportation would have been rejected if not for the children.

However the commission ruled that T 'no longer poses a risk to national security.'
T first arrived in Britain in 1997 on a false passport and returned illegally in 1999 after spending time in Afghanistan - where he attended the Khalden terror training camp.

He brought his wife to Britain in 2001 using false documents and later lodged with Mustafa Melki - who according to the SIAC was an 'active member of a very active terror group' who was arrested in 2001.

T was also associated with Doha, a 39-year-old Algerian firebrand cleric who was arrest in 2001 over the so-called 'millenium plot' to blow up Los Angeles airport.

The SIAC's Mr Justice Mitting said in making its ruling on the fate of T, a 'fine balance must be struck' between the potential risk to Britain and the interests of his family.

'If we were required to have regard only for the circumstances of 'T' and his wife we would, without hesitation, dismiss his appeal.'
'Although they have established a family life in the United Kingdom, they have done so in circumstances in which they were well aware that the immigration status of both of them was, at best, precarious.'\

But he said it was the interests of the four children that was the issue.

A spokesman for the Home Office said: 'The decision was a matter for the court. We can't comment further on operation matters.'

Holy War and Unholy Terror

Islamic-Holy War and Unholy Terror

After the terrorist attacks of September 11, many Americans yearned to understand why Muslim extremists felt such passionate animosity toward the Western world, particularly the United States. Since that historic attack there have been many books and discussions about this very question, but few of them offer such a readable and relevant response as this excellent offering by renowned historian Bernard Lewis (What Went Wrong?). For modern Westerners, Islam is an especially foreign religion and culture to understand. For instance, Westerners typically dismiss things as unimportant when using the expression "that’s history." But for those raised in Muslim households, history—even ancient history—is just as important (if not more important) as the present. And to better understand the hostilities rooted in this history—one could start with recognizing the long-standing resentment the Islamic community harbors from having its homelands torn apart and re-packaged into random political states by occupying Europeans (Westerners). Or stretch back in time to the brutality of the Crusades. Or go straight to the U.S. political meddling in the region throughout the latter 20th century.

This is not a pity fest for Muslims. Lewis even-handedly explores the sources of Islamic antagonism toward the West while also explaining how a supposedly peace-worshipping religion could be so distorted by violent extremism. He notes that the American way of life—especially that of fulfillment through material gain and sexual freedom—is a direct threat to Islamic values (which is why night clubs—places where men and women publicly touch one another—are targets of bombings). But it is basic Western democracy that especially threatens Islamic extremists, notes Lewis, because within its own community more and more Muslims are coming to value the freedom that political democracy allows. For anyone wanting an intelligent and accessible primer on the Islamic-Western conflict, this is an excellent place to begin. Gail Hudson --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.
From Publishers Weekly
This lean, muscular volume, an expansion of Lewis's George Polk Award-winning New Yorker article, sheds much-needed light on the complicated and volatile Middle East. To locate the origins of anti-American sentiment, Islamic scholar Lewis maps the history of Muslim anxiety towards the West from the time of the Crusades through European imperialism, and explains how America's increased presence in the region since the Cold War has been construed as a renewed cry of imperialism. In Islam, politics and religion are inextricable, and followers possess an acute knowledge of their own history dating back to the Prophet Mohammed, a timeline Lewis revisits. By so doing, the bestselling author of What Went Wrong? is able to cogently investigate key issues, such as why the United States has been dubbed the "Great Satan" and Israel the "Little Satan," and how Muslim extremism has taken root and succeeded in bastardizing the fundamental Islamic tenets of peace. Lewis also covers the impact of the Iranian Revolution and American foreign policy towards it, Soviet influence in the region and the ramifications of modernization, making this clear, taut and timely primer a must-read for any concerned citizen. Voting Fraud Investigative Reporter Beaten Up by Muslim Thugs

ELECTION SPECIAL – The Cultural Enrichment™ keeps on coming. UK Muslim Postal Vote fraud gets uglier – much uglier:

‘The first punch came, landing on my nose, sending blood down my face’‘Independent’ reporter Jerome Taylor relives his bloody experience on the trail of voting fraud in east London
When I look back on it now what surprises me is how disarmingly polite my attackers were.

“What are you doing?” asked one of the two, seemingly inquisitive, Asian teenagers who approached me on a quiet cul-de-sac in Bow, east London, shortly after 1pm yesterday.

“There’s been a photographer around here, do you know her?” he added.

I didn’t, but I explained I was a journalist for The Independent looking to speak to a man at an address in the area, who was standing as a candidate in the local elections, about allegations of postal vote fraud. “Can we see your note pad,” the boy asked.

I declined and then the first punch came – landing straight on my nose, sending blood and tears streaming down my face. Then another. Then another.

I tried to protect myself but a fresh crop of attackers – I guess between four and six – joined in. As they knocked me to the ground one of them brought a traffic cone repeatedly down on the back of my head.

Read the full shocking story over at The Independent.

BNP candidate Bob Bailey and Asian men clash in Romford

A fight broke out between British National Party parliamentary candidate for Romford, Bob Bailey, and some Asian men as party members were out campaigning in east London.

The fight began when one of the men in the group spat at Mr Bailey as he was out with supporters in Ripple Road.

Young father has face sliced open in race attack as his terrified son, 5, looks on

A young father was slashed across the face as his five-year-old son looked on in what claimed was a random 'anti-white' revenge attack sparked by the murder of an Asian teenager.

Reece Johnson told how he and his son, Tyrel, were walking with Mr Johnson's girlfriend when a mob of 20 Asian youths surrounded him.

He claims one of the youths said, 'Your lot killed one of ours', before he was set upon.

The attack ended when one of the gang sliced open his left cheek with a craft knife.

As Tyrel screamed in horror, his father was left reeling with a giant gaping wound in his face which later needed 68 stitches.

Police are investigating whether the attack was sparked by the murder of student Saffer Khan, 19, by two white youths in the same area more than two years ago.

Mr Johnson, a labourer from Great Lever, near Bolton, today said: 'My face is a mess but the fact is I'm very lucky to be alive.

'The doctors told me if the blade had continued another few millimetres then it would have hit my jugular vein. The nurse said it must have been a very sharp blade, like a razor.

'She said another finger tip across my neck and that would have been it, I would have died. These guys picked on me for no other reason than because I was a white and killers of that young lad were white.

'It's just unbelievable. Obviously I had nothing to do with what happened to Mr Khan yet I was tarred with the same brush as the killers simply because of the colour of my skin.

'I'm scarred for life now and people might look at me and think I?m a violent thug.'

Mr Johnson had been for a day out with the friends in Blackpool and was walking past the entrance of Bobby Heywood Park in Great Lever where Mr Khan was beaten to death by two teenagers in November 2007.

Mr Johnson said: 'I was with my son and a girlfriend when this mob of 20 Asian youths came up to us. They were saying "Your lot killed one of ours" - meaning white people killed an Asian lad.

'One of the guys was acting aggressively and the group was swearing and hurling racist abuse. They attacked me because of the colour of my skin. They were very racist.

'I saw one of them in front of me with a small hand knife and I was watching him. But then another lad came at the side of me and punched me and that's when I was slashed.

Crime scene: Mr Johnson was set upon near the entrance to Heywood Park in Great Lever, Bolton. He was rushed to hospital, where medics told him he could have bled to death
'I was scared for my life.

The lads who attacked me have no respect. My little son was with me - he's five years old and he was traumatised.

'He was screaming, clinging on to one of my friend's legs.'

Mr Johnson was taken to a specialist facial unit at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday night. He was given 20 stitches inside his face and another 48 on the outside.

He left hospital at 6.30am on Sunday and is now recovering at his parents' home.

The cause: Joseph Booth pleaded guilty to the murder of Seffar Iqbal Khan in 2008
The father-of-three said he and his girlfriend will now move home because they are scared to return to the area.

He said his son has been badly affected by the attack.

Mr Johnson added: 'Tyrel was very upset, he was hysterical. He woke up the other night crying. That is not normal for him. There are people in the community that know who has done it but it is whether they are brave enough to admit it.'

A Greater Manchester police spokesman said: 'The 23-year-old man had been out with his girlfriend when he was confronted by a group of up to 20 youths.

'An argument broke out and during this, the man was slashed across the left cheek, suffering a six-inch wound. Inquiries are ongoing.' A 16-year-old was arrested but later released without charge.

Mr Khan was kicked to death by 18-year old Joseph Booth who ripped off an electronic tag he had been ordered to wear as a condition of his early release from jail.

Manchester Crown Court was told in the hours before the killing Booth had been on a boozing spree and after downing cheap cider simply broke open the tag and threw it away.

As the authorities alerted by a fault on the tag began a search for Booth, the teenager and a 15-year old boy began prowling the park looking for a victim to mug and ambushed Mr Khan who was punched kicked and and had his head stamped on.

Booth and the 15-year old were later jailed for life for murder.

Political Corruption in Muslim Communities Undermining UK Election

Cultural Enrichment Alert – The BBC seems to think it’s some kind of quaint ethnic custom. But in a serious development today in arguably one of Britain’s most corrupt constituencies, yet more evidence is surfacing that electoral fraud, particularly that relating to postal votes in Bangladeshi and Pakistani communities in Britain, is becoming widespread, as this breaking story illustrates:

Scotland Yard has launched criminal investigations into four allegations of bogus voter registration.

Bundles of fictitious names have been put on the electoral roll in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in what looks like a blatant attempt to steal the elections.

It will raise concern in an area notorious for election fraud and where a last-minute flood of applications to vote mean that more than 5,000 have been accepted without any checks — enough to sway Thursday’s results. The council tried to clean up the register.

Officials visited any home with nine or more voters and removed 141 names from the roll.

But a surge of 5,166 new registrations were received just before the deadline of April 20 and there was no time to check them. Alarm bells rang when parties were given lists of postal voters to help with electioneering.

At an address in Bethnal Green Road consisting of a ground-floor shop and an upstairs maisonette, eight Bengalis claimed a postal vote.

However, when The Times called there this week there was only one occupant, Inge Reekmans a Belgian photographer. “You’re kidding,” she said when told about the registrations.

Showing The Times around her home, the only other occupant was her cat Kiki. “You can see, there are no Bengalis,” she said.

In Goldman Close, there were 10 Bengali names for a house where Stephane Leyvraz, a Frenchman, lives with two Europeans. When The Times visited, there was no sign of “Tanzir Alam”, “Nurul Aman” or the others. A man came for the ballot papers on Monday.

Across Tower Hamlets in Bromley-by-Bow, 18 people apparently requested postal votes in a four-bedroom house where Ali Saleem, a Pakistani student, lives with four companions. Does he vote? “Not even in my own country,” he said. “I don’t like to vote.”

The Electoral Commission’s Code of Conduct for postal voting forbids campaigners from soliciting ballot papers. But Mahmodul Hasam Talukdar was asked for his by a party supporter. “He said ‘Vote for us and I will take it back to the post office’,” Mr Talukdar, 23, a student from Bangladesh, said. “Why should I? It’s my vote.”

Britain boasts one of the world’s freest and most transparent electoral systems.

But is is being slowly and steadily undermined and abused, particularly by Muslim immigrant communities.

In 2007 the Joseph Rowtree Foundation, an independent organisation which promotes electoral reform and democratic rights, said:

“several cases [of electoral fraud] have involved proven instances of large-scale vote-rigging within British Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities. There is some anecdotal evidence to suggest that practices associated with traditional forms of Pakistani ‘clan politics’ have been a common factor in a significant minority of recent prosecutions for electoral fraud”

In Slough, Berkshire last year, Six British Pakistanis were jailed for postal vote abuse.

In an earlier case in 2005, local elections were voided and had to be re-run at a massive cost to the taxpayer, as several Pakistani candidates were found to be operating what was described as a ‘vote-rigging factory’.

The judge commented on government claims at the time that postal voting was working:
“Anybody who has sat through the case I have just tried and listened to evidence of electoral fraud that would disgrace a banana republic would find this statement surprising.”

But as we often say here at Un:dhimmi, it is unfair to transfer all the blame to the miscreants. Equally culpable are the enablers – and here it is once again the political class in the UK, who still maintain that the lax security in British elections (particularly those around postal voting) do not require reform.

It is clear that a workable alternative to postal voting has to be found, arrangements to protect abuse of postal voting from Britain and abroad put in place – and that in-person voters should have to identify themselves to electoral offices, which, bizarrely, is not currently the case in Britain.

The master forger aged 76 who has helped up to 15,000 stay illegally in Britain

Providing immigration advice and help from his tiny office, Abdullah Azad appeared to be a pillar of the community.

But the 76-year-old grandfather was really a master forger and mastermind behind an 'industry' of bogus visas.

By using forged documents, stamps and official letters, Azad is estimated to have helped more than 15,000 immigrants remain illegally in the UK.

Abdullah Azad forged visas that were so good they even fooled the Home Office
Now he is behind bars after being jailed for five years for forgery and assisting unlawful immigration into the UK.

He was convicted of a similar offence eight years ago.

Shadow Immigration Minister Damian Green said the case highlighted problems with the immigration system.

He said: 'This is yet another sign of chaos in the immigration system.

'No one should be allowed to be a repeat offender in this way and this suggests that checks are still incredibly lax.'

Manchester Crown Court heard that Azad set up an office in Moss Side, Manchester, offering immigration services.

Many of his clients had entered Britain legally on work permits or student visas and believed he would help them stay in the country through legal means.

But Azad used forged documents including bogus Home Office stamps and letters, as well as fake college stamps, letters and national insurance cards.

Sandip Patel, prosecuting, said those provided with forged documents by Azad 'had access to numerous privileges, state benefits, employment and unfettered continuous residence'.

He said: 'Mr Azad forged Home Office stamps and paperwork and they were thereafter accepted by the authorities as genuine.'

Many of those he helped have now disappeared.

The court heard that one client, Tariq Chaudhry, went to Azad believing him to be a genuine immigration lawyer. He was able to become a naturalised British citizen two years ago using a bogus 'indefinite leave to remain' stamp Azad supplied for him.

Another client paid £3,100 to Azad in 2003 believing he could help him and his Filipino wife stay in the country legally, only to be arrested in an immigration raid.

When the Serious and Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) raided Azad's office in 2007 they found cash, hundreds of passports and files relating to up to 15,000 people.

A SOCA source said: 'Azad's files were grouped under family names, each of which had two or three people in, perhaps more, suggesting he could have helped 15,000 with bogus details, many of whom cannot now be traced and are not known to the Home Office. He has cost the taxpayer millions.'

The court heard that nearly £18,000 in cash was seized by SOCA and workers later testified they had been asked to bank cheques for as much as £37,000.

Azad even posed as former Lord Mayor of Manchester Afzal Khan and wrote to Blackley MP Graham Stringer for help with a case.

After Azad was jailed in 2002 for a similar passport scam, Mr Khan had given him a job helping out with administration and community work.

Mr Khan said: 'He was someone who had enjoyed standing in the community and I gave him some work because I felt sorry for him.

'I thought that after going to prison the first time he would have learnt his lesson, so I feel very saddened by this.'

Mr Stringer said: 'He was as bent as a nine bob note.'

Azad, who has prostate cancer, was given a suspended sentence in 2008 for providing immigration services when not qualified. Bunty Batra, defending, said Azad was a dying man who had started out wanting to help people before becoming greedy.

Sentencing, Judge Roger Thomas QC, said Azad was at the centre of a fake immigration industry, adding that rather than helping people with genuine cases he had, in fact, harmed their cause.

He added: 'This particular form of conduct is becoming prevalent and a message has to go out loud and clear about what happens to those people who misuse the system as you have done.'
